California Megan's Law
For more than 50 years, California has required sex offenders to register with their local law enforcement agency. However, the information was not always available to the public.
The purpose of the California Megan's Law website is to provide information to the public concerning the location of sex offenders in California.The California Sex and Arson Registry (CSAR) is the source of sex offender information, provided by the offender, to local law enforcement agencies.All states in the U.S. have some form of Megan’s Law.
