The Stockton Animal Shelter is the largest open-admission municipal animal shelter in the City of Stockton and San Joaquin County.

Adoption
In an effort to increase our life-saving capacity at the Stockton Animal Shelter we rely on animal adoptions at the Shelter and at off-site events.
In addition, we rely on our partnerships with rescue organizations locally and throughout the nation and Canada.

Licensing and Microchipping are one of two ways to ensure you are reunited with your lost pet.

Trap, Neuter & Release, or Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and our Barn Cat program are two ways that we are improving the quality of life for community cats and residents.
